It’ll be a “House Divided” for many families across central Illinois this weekend.
For the first time in history, the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs will face off in a postseason series, beginning this afternoon.
The Cardinals, winners of the National League Central Division championship this season, will host the Cubs at Busch Stadium. The Cubs finished the year in 3rd place in the NL Central – but also had the 3rd best record in all of Major League Baseball – and beat the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL Wild Card Game earlier this week for the right to play St. Louis. Game #2 of the best-of-five series will be played tomorrow afternoon in St. Louis.
The teams will have a travel day on Sunday, and then play Game #3 at Wrigley Field on Monday. If necessary, Game #4 will be Tuesday in Chicago and Game #5 would be played Thursday in St. Louis.
