Police at several colleges and universities across the Midwest are investigating a series of bomb threats made at those schools on Thursday.
Northern Illinois University in DeKalb is one of the universities that received a threat.
University officials said Thursday night that a bomb threat was received around 6PM, resulting in an immediate evacuation order being given for all campus buildings. No explosive devices were found during a search of the campus and the university is open and classes are being held as scheduled this morning.
DePaul University in Chicago was also briefly closed after receiving a bomb threat against a specific building on its campus on Thursday.
