Rauner Administration Not in Hurry to Name Lincoln Library and Museum Director

More than a month after the departure of Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Executive Director Eileen Mackevich, Governor Bruce Rauner’s administration says it has not hired an outside search firm to find a replacement.

Rauner spokeswoman Catherine Kelly tells the Associated Press that employees within the Governor’s office are researching candidates for the $150,000 a year position, but do not have a set timetable for naming a replacement for Mackevich.

Mackevich had been the ALPLM director since 2010 before resigning her position on October 16th.

Former museum chief of staff Nadine O’Leary is serving as interim director.
