Illinois College Announces Collaborative Agreement with Cuban Institutions

As diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Cuba continue to strengthen and travel restrictions are relaxed, Illinois College in Jacksonville has reached a collaboration agreement with two Cuban schools.

IC will formally sign the agreement with the University of Pinar del Rio and Soroa Botanical Garden in January.

The agreement will allow students at Illinois College to conduct research in Cuba and the Cuban institutions to expand into more fields of study through Illinois College. The collaboration will begin with research in the biological and environmental fields of study.
