Powerball and Mega Millions Dropping Illinois Without Budget Agreement

Your dreams of hitting it big in the Mega Millions or Powerball games are in jeopardy as a result of the ongoing budget stalemate in Illinois.

The Multi-State Lottery Association has told the Illinois Lottery that it will drop Illinois from both games at the end of this month, if no budget deal comes together.

Illinois reported just over $99M in Mega Millions and $208M in Powerball ticket sales.

Governor Bruce Rauner on Thursday issued an order for ten consecutive days of Special Session for the General Assembly, beginning June 21st, with a directive of working solely on budget matters.
